Dr. Julian Sosner is the former chairman and residency program director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of New York Medical College and St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York. Dr. Sosner is the founder and director of the practice “New York Interventional Pain Medicine Service, PC”.
Dr. Sosner’s philosophy is that the treatment of a person’s pain is accomplished by careful evaluation and understanding of the precise diagnosis of the condition affecting the patient, and then applying the proper comprehensive array of treatments to improve the pain and the wellbeing of the entire person. Dr. Sosner evaluates and treats all his patients personally during both the initial visit and all follow-up visits. All pain procedures are performed personally by Dr. Sosner in his office and in the operating rooms of leading academic institutions in Manhattan. Besides an active clinical practice, Dr. Sosner is involved in teaching residents and fellows in both fields of PM&R and Pain Management and in academic research.
